I chose this video because it shows a teacher using a KWL chart for a math class. I thought this was a unique and thoughtful way to keep students engaged and focused while solving word problems. It forces the student to separate the different parts of the word problem to help them figure out what information they need to find/solve.

Video 2
I included this video, because it explains the KWL chart in an extremely clear and organized manner. She uses the KWL along with the thinking aloud strategy to ensure that students are coming up with questions in their heads and keeping them involved. She uses the KWL with plants but explains how it could be used for any topic.
