I liked how this video gave an extremely clear overview of the SQ3R Strategy. Beyond that, however, it gave really good tips for each of the skills. For example, during Survey, the presenter suggests how readers should look for headings, 1st sentences, dates and unusual verbs. I think giving the students specific things to look for would help keep them engaged in the activity.

This video does a great job of defining active reading. The presentor starts by telling us that readers share three goals: to read efficiently, to increase reading rate and understand more of what they read. She then shows how SQ3R can help student reach these goals by promoting active reading. In the end she shows how this strategy is used by different professionals in their jobs.
