Marzano's Six Step Process (Why should we use it?)
Robert Marzano is an education researcher and a teacher who spent many hours observing teachers and students. He believes that direct vocabulary instruction is important in all content areas. His Six Steps is revolutionary to teaching vocabulary. These steps make this process fun for students as they think about, talk about, apply and play with their new set of words (edutopia.org).
"Marzano's six steps do something revolutionary to vocabulary learning: They make it fun. Students think about, talk about, apply, and play with new words." (edutopia.org)
