Video 1
This video shows a teacher effectively using props in her Social Studies classroom. By starting out the lesson this way, she is involving the entire class and getting them to generate ideas and thoughts about the topic she will later introduce. The students were also engaged later in the lesson when she uses more props to help clarify the idea of sparse and dense populations.

Video 2
While an extremely short video, I really liked the idea presented here, because I have often used centers / Daily 5 (Listening) and this supports the listening of a story with props to help get the students excited in the pre-reading period. The teacher here is giving the students a choice of books to read and with each book are included props of a main concept idea from the story.
